Civil Defence Department Organises Voluntary Blood Donation Camp in Bareilly

58 Units of Blood Donated by Civil Defence Personnel and Volunteers

Bareilly: Acting on the directions of District Magistrate Avinash Singh, the Civil Defence Department, Bareilly, organized a voluntary blood donation camp to promote humanitarian service and support healthcare needs in the district.

The programme was formally inaugurated by Additional District Magistrate (City) Dr. Avinash Tripathi, who launched the event by cutting the ceremonial ribbon and appreciated the efforts of Civil Defence volunteers in contributing to this noble cause.

The blood donation drive was conducted under the leadership of Deputy Controller of Civil Defence Rakesh Kumar Mishra and Chief Warden Ranjeet Kumar Vashistha. The event received valuable support from Chief Medical Officer Vishram Singh, while doctors and medical staff ensured all necessary arrangements for safe blood collection and donor care.

A large number of paid and honorary Civil Defence officers, wardens, and volunteers actively participated in the programme. Several officials and volunteers played a significant role in the successful conduct of the event, including Assistant Deputy Controller Pramod Kumar Dagar, members of the Civil Defence office staff, Divisional Wardens, Deputy Divisional Wardens, Staff Officers, Incident Control Officers, Sector Wardens, and Post Wardens.

The voluntary blood donation camp witnessed an encouraging response, with 58 units of blood collected from Civil Defence personnel and other volunteers. Organizers described the initiative as an important contribution toward strengthening blood reserves for emergency medical needs and supporting patients requiring lifesaving transfusions.

Speaking on the occasion, officials emphasized that voluntary blood donation is one of the highest forms of public service and encouraged more citizens to participate in such humanitarian initiatives in the future.

The event reflected the Civil Defence Department’s continued commitment to community welfare, public service, and social responsibility.
